In Sichuan alone, the death toll from China’s worst earthquake since 1976 is now 19,509,and the ultimate number is estimated at more than 50,000, the rescue headquarters of the State Council said on Thursday. It confirmed that more than 20,000 have already been found dead, and more than 25,000 buried in rubble.
